A poem by Victoriously Graced
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” —Romans 12:2 (AMP)

From looking on the outside, it is one big building
Housing children that are hurt, sad, in need of freedom, and love
Never would have understood the meaning of standing in front of a crossroads
The thought of being at a place I once knew, now leaving for a place where I grew
This is a poem that I am pouring my heart into
So if it rhymes or not, I will let it flow through
From traveling and experiencing laughter and
Growing with others at different paces of life towards the same destination
I didn’t know that I was gonna get a deeper revelation
Only God would lead me to do things that are beyond
Taking me outside of the zone that seems uncomfortable for me
He leads me to walk to the library, relax at His feet,
Read His Word, seek Him first,
Forgive an old friend that blesses me to keep on going,
Understand what He wanted to go follow His will rather my own,
Gaining more clarity, then placing cares and leaving my burdens with Him,
Then realizing that I was gonna do
Something I never thought I would do for a complete stranger
But we flowed in the same spirit
Received healing from the Word
When doubt and fear pushed against me, weighing down on my mind
I sensed how the enemy tried to scare me, but I had prayed against it in tongues
Because I don’t operate in the spirit of fear
But in love, power, and sound mind, I felt free
We arrived at that point at which a crucial decision must be made
With consequences far-reaching
We are led to make a choice
Whether to follow or not follow God and His will
It’s my choice
Afterwards we shook hands with the teens, showed them mercy
Told them “God bless you”
God is leading me into a deeper direction
Into a deeper revelation
On my way home, I heard the song “Crossroads” by Bone Thugs N Harmony
And thought God has a funny sense of humor
God has a funny way of taking care of me
When I stood at the crossroads, I felt the transformation
From who I was and who I used to be
Into who I am becoming
The person I am destined to be
Taking up my cross at the crossroads
Giving all I am to God
To God be the glory
